Kathmandu, May 17: Prem Bahadur Deuba,
brother of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, died this morning at 2 am
at the age of 67.
Bhanu Deuba, Chief personal secretary of the Prime Minister, said that Deuba died at Bir
Hospital while undergoing treatment.
According
to Laxman Dutta Pant, our Kanchanpur correspondent, Prem Bahadur Deuba was
suffering from cancer for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Cancer
Hospital, Kathmandu.
He
was transferred to Bir Hospital a month ago after having a respiratory problem
and was receiving treatment at Bir Hospital.
The
deceased is survived by two sons, Birendra Deuba and Bikram Deuba, and daughter Bindu
Deuba Bam and a wife, Sindhu Deuba Rana.
He
was a permanent resident at Krishnapur Municipality-4, Kichai, Kanchanpur but had shifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
