Lightning kills three women in Rautahat

Rautahat, Aug 30: Three women from the same village died after lightning struck them at Malahi Tol, Garuda Municipality-3 in Rautahat district today. The thunderbolt hit them when they were working in the fields.     

The victims include 39-year-old Sudaniya Devi, Jagiya Kumari, 70, and 18-year-old Manisha Kumari of Malahi village, said Deputy Superintendent of Rupesh Kumar Singh, the Chief of Area Police Office Garuda. Forty-year-old Saili Devi has been injured in the incident. Sudaniya and Jagiya are from the same family.     

Meanwhile, Garuda Municipality mayor Kantha Mani Jayaswal reached the incident site and gave assurances of support to the families of the victims' Municipality's chief administrative officer ram Babu Yadav said. (RSS)
