Spandhan by Sangee Shrestha on display

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Sept. 26: A solo art exhibition entitled Spandhan by artist Sangee Shrestha has been on display at Jiji Machan in Lalitpur. 

 The 29 mixed media and acrylic paintings have been displayed in the art exhibition since September 21. Artist Shrestha has dedicated this art exhibition to his late mother. She said that she used to show her artworks to her mother through video chat and her mother reviewed them in her own way.

  "She used to sit and watch for hours online where I worked. We spent most of our time like this. She was very affectionately interested in every activity of my artistic life. Even my small achievements made her happy. I used to be happier to see her happiness. That's why I was eager to tell her even the smallest things," said Shrestha. 

 "The Tika and vermilion of female figures seen in my artworks are also influenced by her," she added.

The art exhibition will continue till October 21.
