All-party meeting called before swearing-in of HoR members

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 21: A meeting of all the parties represented in the House of Representatives (HoR) has been called for tomorrow afternoon.

The all-party meeting is scheduled to be held an hour before the swearing-in ceremony of the HoR members.

Dasharath Dhamala, assistant spokesperson of the federal parliament secretariat said that the meeting was called for 12 noon.

Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana took the oath of office today as the oldest HoR member from President Bidya Devi Bhandari. As the senior-most HoR member by age, Rana will chair the HoR meeting including the oath taking ceremony until Speaker is elected.

Following his swearing-in, Rana went to the parliament secretariat to take stock of preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected HoR members.

The all-party meeting will be chaired by the oldest HoR member Rana who will also administer oaths to 174 other HoR members.
