Cyclist Ram Kumar arrives in Matihani

By Our Correspondent,Mahottari, Feb. 6: Cyclist Ram Kumar Pyakurel arrived in Matihani of  Mahottari district. Pyakurel has started his cycle journey from Jhapa in Province-1 wishing peace in the country. 

Matihani is the 231st local levels treaded  by Pyakurel of  Damravitta in Ratuwamai Municipality-8, Morang during his cycle trip. 

Pyakurel was welcomed by Hari Prasad Mandal, mayor of Matihani Municipality at Dirapur on Sunday.

Mayor Mandal wished for the success of Pyakurel’s journey.  

The Mayor also informed the cyclist about the history of Matihani Municipality and requested him to visit Matihani Matha and the first school of Nepal established there. 

 On the occasion, cyclist Pyakurel said that he began his journey in November 2021 from Morang’s Ratuwamai Municipality with the aim of reaching all 753 local levels to convey the message of peace. 

He informed that he arrived in Matihani on Sunday and it was  the 231st municipality covered by him. He said that he would reach all 753 local levels in five years. 

 He said he was willing to visit the first school of Nepal. He also appreciated the mayor and others for the hospitality he received in Matihani.  

Pyakurel also expressed his gratitude to those all who supported him during his cycle journey.
