NT fiber service launched in Jumla, Kalikot districts

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 28: Nepal Telecom has launched FTTH service ‘NT Fiber’ in Jumla and Kalikot of Karnali Province.

The service was launched in Kalikot on Wednesday (May 24) and in Jumla on Thursday (May 25), according to a press statement of NT.

Director of Nepal Telecom Regional Directorate Surkhet, Karnali Province, Milan Shrestha handed over the necessary CPE to customers in both districts and launched the NT Fiber service.

Using the latest technology through NT fiber, now customers of that area can use the telephone with HD quality voice, high speed internet and television service from the same cable.

The company has already provided FTTH services in Surkhet, Salyan, Dailekh, Jajarkot and Rukum West of Karnali Province. Four facilities can be enjoyed at once in the pack under the currently available offer of Fiber To The Home (NT Fiber) service.

With this, customers can use high-speed internet as well as television, telephone service and mobile data at the same time. Nepal Telecom has named this service as ‘3 Plus 1’ or ‘now three plus 1 in one’ as four facilities can be used from one wire.

At present, the FTTH package which is available only under data facilities is in Spring Offer at Rs. 8000 annually.

Similarly, customers who take a package, including NTTV, are provided with 20 Mbps internet, 3,000 minutes of voice service and NTTV service for Rs. 12,000 per year.
