Republic Day cultural event held

Kathmandu, May 30 : A Republic Day cultural event was organized on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2080.     

The event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation featured play, poetry recitation, dance and songs.     

The function was attended by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, DPM and Defense Ministry Purna Bahadur Khadka, DPM and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shretha, former prime ministers, ministers, chiefs of the diplomatic missions and high level officials of the government.     

On the occasion, Minister for Tourism Sudan Kirati said it is time to institutionalize the republic. He also warned everyone to be aware over the elements that try to foil the republic system.     

Minister Kirati reminded government's commitment to build corruption-free society and prosperous Nepal. (RSS)
