Koshi Province speaker resigns

By Gokul Parajuli, Biratnagar, August 1: Baburam Gautum has resigned from the post of Province Assembly speaker post.

He has tendered his resignation to the Province secretariat addressing the deputy speaker.  

In the house of 93 members of the Koshi Province, 47 members of province assembly is required to form a government. Meanwhile, non of the political alliance could present the number to from the government thus far.

Now, with the resignation of Gautum who is the elected member of province assembly from Maoist Centre from the post of speaker, the alliance could move forward to claim the formation of the government with necessary number of the assembly members in hand .
