No hearing on writ petition against TikTok ban due to time shortage

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.20: The petition filed against the ban of TikTok in Nepal has been put on the 'no time to see' list by the Supreme Court on Monday.

The bench of Dr Kumar Chudal has put the case of the ban against the TikTok app on the 'no time to see' list'. 

10 writ petitions were filed against the ban on TikTok at the Supreme Court on Friday. The preliminary hearing on the case was to be made today by the bench of Dr Kumar Chudal.

Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, Judges Trilok Bahadur Chand, Prem Silwal, Aananta Raj Luitel. Dr Sunil Ranjan Singh, Yagya Mani Neupane and Pharshu Ram Pandey filed the petition against the ban on Friday. 

In the writ petition, the interim order was to let the operation of the TikTok in its original form by altering the decision. The meeting of the Council of Ministers on November 13 made a decision to ban the TikTok app.
