By Siraj Khan,Nepalgunj, Dec. 4: A free eye and ear health camp was organised for the sadhus and fairgoers at the Shree 1008 Hadiya Baba Fair in Ward No. 6 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City in Banke district.

The camp was organised by Gaurav Smriti and Beyourself Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Nepalgunj, on the premises of the Shree Hadiya Baba Temple at Fultekra.

The organisers had also provided free medicines alongside diagnosis in the camp.

“We have also made further treatment affordable for those who were suggested to visit proper health centres for their ailments by the doctors,” said Pradip Sah, patron of the foundation.

The foundation coordinated with Fateh Bal Eye Hospital and the BRINOS Ear Care Centre for the camp.

Umar Sadiq from the eye hospital and Tirthaman Tharu and Damodar Tharu from the ear hospital diagnosed visitors in the camp.

“The camp provided eye services to 348 individuals and ear services to 205 individuals,” said Sah.

The foundation informed that 15 individuals were referred for cataract surgery at the Fateh Bal Eye Hospital and seven individuals for ear-related surgeries at the BRINOS Ear Care Centre.

“Sadhus in large numbers gather at the annual fair from different parts of Nepal and India,” said Nandalal Vaishya, a social worker and businessman of Nepalgunj.
