Thamsuhang's Sabdathu Ma to be warded with Bimal Kriti Prize

By Nisha Rai, Dharan, Nov. 1: Author Prakash Thamsuhang’s essay collection ‘Shabdathu Ma’ is to be awarded with Bimal Kriti Prize-2080.

Thamsuhang’s essay collection was selected among the 102 literary works on different genre written by Nepali authors from within the country and abroad.

At a press meet on Thursday, the award organising committee said that the recommendation committee for the prize selected Thamsuhang for the prize.

‘Sabdathu Ma’ presents native identity, culture, lifestyle and consciousness of the eastern part of Nepal in detail, according to Purna Bahadur Gurung, Chairperson of Bimal Gurung memorial library.

Thamsuhang will be handed over the award on November 9 with a sum of Rs. 200 thousand in cash coinciding with national poetry fair.
