Pedestrian killed in Palpa truck-hit

Rampur (Palpa), Nov 1: A pedestrian died when a truck hit him at Rupse of Mathagadhi rural municipality-2 in Palpa district on Thursday night.     

The deceased has been identified as Tek Bahadur Dhenga, 53, of the same place where the accident took place, said DSP Sunil Malla at the District Police Office, Palpa.     

 Dhenga sustained serious injuries when the truck (Lu 2 Kha 145) en route to Phedi from Khahare in the district knocked him down. The critically injured person was rushed to the Lumbini Medical College where breathed his last in course of treatment, informed DSP Malla.     

Police have impounded the truck and detained its driver for further investigation, according to the District Police Office, Palpa. (RSS)
