Ram Bindu brings out two books

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar. 22: Author Ram Bindu Shrestha has brought out two books of translation on the occasion of the World Poetry Day amid an event in the capital on Friday.

Deputy Director of Russian House in Kathmandu, Saakanush Vanyan, writers Bishnu Bahadur Singh, Chandra Kanta Acharya, author and translator Shrestha himself jointly launched book titled Antabarta and Russian translation of Mera Soviet Samjhanaharu (My Memories on Soviet Russia).  

Antarbarta, translated into Nepali by Ram Bindu Shrestha, is a children story penned by Russian writer Tamara Patyomkina and Russian version of Mera Soviet Samjhanaharu is translated by Tamara Patyomkina.

Antarbata is an interesting real story of a giraffe. In the story, Igor is the younger brother of writer Patyomkina. Similarly, Mera Soviet Samjhanaharu is a celebrated memory in Nepali by Shrestha who is a bachelor in engineering from the then Soviet Union. At the event organised by the Russian House in Kathmandu in association with the Nepal Russia Literary Society, Deputy Director Vanyam, writer Chandra Kanta Acharya  and Khem Bandhu Koirala expressed their views on Antarbarta.

Moreover, some poets including Bishnu Bahadur Singh, Chandra Kanta Acharya, Dinesh Pradhan and others presented poems. Ram Bindu Shrestha presented a translation of some poems by Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota.
