By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 19: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered 25 tons of premium Saudi dates to Nepal, marking a significant act of goodwill.

The Saudi Ambassador to Nepal, Saad Nasser Abuhaimed, inaugurated this first KSrelief programme in the country at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kupondole on Monday, highlighting the growing humanitarian partnership between Nepal and Saudi Arabia.

The dates, received by Chhabilal Poudel, Undersecretary of Ministry of Home Affairs, will be distributed to orphanages, Muslim organizations, universities, among other places, supporting diverse communities. This initiative reflects the strengthening Nepal-Saudi relationship, bolstered by Saudi Arabia’s role as a major destination for Nepali migrant workers, fostering deep economic and cultural ties.

Ambassador Abuhaimed expressed gratitude to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for their steadfast commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
