Organised by E-Arts Nepal since 2017, the Himalayan Art Camp brings together both local and international artists to foster creative exchange and to highlight Nepal’s rich cultural narratives through art.

The participating artists represent a diverse global community, hailing from the USA, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Canada, Cambodia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Romania.

At the opening ceremony, Asha Dangol, Co-Founder of E-Arts Nepal, expressed his gratitude and said, “We are grateful to each artist for bringing your unique stories, styles, and spirit to this collaborative celebration.”

This year’s Nepali artists’ cohort includes 10 visionary creators whose works span traditional mastery, conceptual exploration, and academic influence.

Among them is eminent artist Kiran Manandhar, an MFA graduate from Banaras Hindu University, who is also participating in the workshop. The international lineup features 20 distinguished artists from 14 countries.

The programme began by lighting lamp by two senior artists Kiran Manandhar from Nepal and Katsumi Mukai from Japan, who together officially inaugurated the Himalayan Art Camp 2025.

Following this, the opening event titled "Coloring on Canvas" was held, where Manandhar and Mukai painted the first strokes on a shared canvas, symbolically opening the art camp.

The Himalayan Art Camp will conclude on May 22. The final art exhibition will be held from May 24 to 28 at the Patan Museum Gallery.
