By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 22: Nepali Samaj Germany, a community organisation run by the Nepali diaspora for over 20 years, is going to organise the Frankfurt Nepal Day for the 10th time on May 24 in Saalbau Bornheim Frankfurt.
The special all-day event features a children’s programme, academic presentations, cultural performances, and opportunities to bring Nepali people together. Each year, speakers from both Nepal and Germany present on a wide range of topics and contribute to supporting Nepal’s tourism industry.
The Ambassador of Nepal to Germany, Dr. Shail Rupakheti, has been invited as chief guest and will attend the event.
This year’s special guest is Susmita Maskey, the first Nepali woman to climb all seven summits, including Mount Everest three times. She will share her journey and insights into the beauty and challenges of Everest.
Shailendra Jha, a prominent figure from Kathmandu Metropolitan City, will speak on how education can drive national prosperity. Additional speakers from Germany will highlight how Nepal-Germany cooperation can improve helicopter rescue operations in Nepal.
Jason Kunwar and Shiv Hari Khadka will present traditional Nepali music during the event. Local artists from Frankfurt and surrounding areas will also take part.
