Abhimanyu: Chapter 1 to release on Phulpati

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 16: Abhimanyu: Chapter 1 is now set to release on Phulpati on September 29. 

Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on September 12, but the release was postponed for Phulpati.

The film’s release was delayed due to the Gen Z protest against corruption. 

“Although the previously scheduled release date was September 12, considering the country’s challenging circumstances, we had postponed it. 

But now, seeing the major positive changes in the country, we have announced a new release date to keep the Nepali film industry continuously active and dynamic,” said Seven Seas Nepal, the film’s production company, in a statement. “The film will release simultaneously across the country and worldwide in the Nepali language from September 29.”

In Hindi, the film will release 

in India and worldwide starting October 2.

Producer Binod Paudel said that since promotion for the September 12 release had already been done with a significant budget, they could not keep the audience waiting for too long.

He also clarified that since screenings abroad have already been scheduled, they could not delay it further.

Seven Seas Cine presents “Abhimanyu: Chapter 1”, starring Kameshwor Chaurasia, Sarita Giri, Kiran Shrestha, Laxmi Bardewa, Gaumaya Gurung, Prakash Dahal, and Shishir Bangdel in lead roles.

The film is directed by Sushant Gautam, with Madan Thapa as the creative director and Mukesh Khanal as the writer.

The producers of Abhimanyu: Chapter 1 are Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, with Ramesh Chaulagain and Hari Shrestha as co-producers. 

Along with Abhimanyu: Chapter 1, other films like Balidan, Hari Bahadurko Jutta and Maitighar are also set to release on Phulpati.
