One dead in bus-motorcycle collison in Banke

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Nov.17: One died in a road accident that occurred on Monday morning in Agaiya, Rapti Sonari-2, Banke.

The accident occurred at 7:15 AM when a motorcycle (Bhe 13 Pa 1183) en route from Kohalpur to Kathmandu and a passenger bus (Ba Pra 1145) traveling from east to west collided head-on at Agaiya Bazaar, Rapti Sonari Gapa 2.

Krishna Gharti Chhetri, aged 44, a resident of Buddha Tole, Gulariya Municipality-6, Bardiya District, and having a permanent address in Punarwas Rural Municipality-9, Kanchanpur District. He was taken to Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, for treatment, where he died, according to the Police.

The Area Police Office, Kohalpur, said that the bus driver and the bus have been taken into custody and taken to the police station in Agaiya. 

The body has been kept at the Teaching Hospital, as there has been no contact with the relatives of the deceased.
