Palpa, Sept. 2: The obstructed Palpa-Butwal roadway under the Siddhartha Highway has resumed since Friday noon, allowing one-way traffic.
Continuous rains caused subsidence of the road for nearly 40 meters at Hieudekhola of Tinau Rural Municipality-5 in Palpa district, disrupting the traffic since Thursday, according to the District Police Office, Palpa.
Earlier, the road had one-way traffic briefly with the construction of a diversion. But, incessant rains blocked the road again. The situation has been risky as a landslide is occurring, said the police.
Following the clearance of obstruction, stuck traffics commuting between Butwal, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Gulmi, Syangja and Palpa have headed to their destinations. (RSS)
