Interaction to stop child marriage in Bajura

Bajura, Apr 15: Government and non-government organizations have interacted with guardians to stop child marriages in Bajura. 

Interaction programmes have started to stop child marriage as child marriage continues with the involvement of the guardians in the district.

Social Movilizer for Garima Project of Green Tara and Read Nepal, Manita Sunar has said that the problems become critical as guardians protect those who are involved in child marriage.

It has been said that due to the protection of guardians for those who marry after leaving school school-age child marriage has been increasing lately.

Aged from 15 to 18 of 8 to 10-grade adolescents got married. 

Social Movilizer Sunar added that after the protection from the parents and guardians for child marriages, projects started interaction programmes have been conducted. 

The number of Child marriages has increased in Badimalika, Tribeni, Budhiganga municipalities and Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality among other local levels in the district.
