Man returns Rs 1.7 million found on way to its owner

By Our Correspondent,Lekhnath, Apr. 20A man in Pokhara has handed over Rs. 1.7 million, which he found on the way, to its right owner. 

Chhotulal Sharma, an Indian national, who has been living in Pokhara Metropolitan City-3, handed over the money to Dhurba Kumar Sunar, owner of the Matashree Jewellers in the presence of the police on Thursday. 

A bag containing the money fell on the road when an employee, Manohar Pawar, of the Prithvichowk-based Jewellers, was heading to the Agriculture Development Bank of Naya Bazaar to deposit the money at 1:30 pm on Thursday.  

The bag kept in the leg guard of the bike had fallen on the road and Sharma found it and informed the police, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Kaski Police Basanta Kumar Sharma. 

Upon receiving information about the loss of the money, police also intensified a search.
