Voting for by-election starts peacefully in Ilam-2

Fikkal (Ilam), April 27: Voting for by-election in Ilam-2 began at 7:00 am. According to Chief Election Officer, Keshav Prasad Ghimire, voting started peacefully in all 149 polling centre under the constituency.

A total of 745 staffs, 1,523 Nepal Police personnel, 710 Armed Police Force personnel, 450 Nepali Army personnel and 24 personnel of the National Investigation Department have been mobilized to conduct the election in a peaceful and fearless environment, he shared. 

The constituency has a total of 115,889 eligible voters. Of them, 59,018 male voters, 56,869 female voters and two 'third gender' voters, according to the Election Commission. (RSS)
