NC's Dambar Khadka takes lead in Ilam-2

By Kokila Dhakal/Prem Adhikari, Ilam, Apr 28: Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka has taken the lead in the ongoing vote count of the Ilam - 2. Khadka has so far received 657 votes while UML candidate Suhang Nemwang gained 534 votes. 

Similarly, Independent candidate Dakendra Singh Thegim has got 127 votes, Rashtriya Swatantra Party's Milan Kumar Yonghang Limbu received 115 votes and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party's Laxmi Gurung received 4 votes.

By-election for the member of House of Representatives (HoR) in Ilam Constituency 2 was held on Saturday.

According to Election Commission, Nepal, 58 per cent of votes was cast out of total number of 115,889 voters in Ilam-2.
