UML's Bhandari takes early lead in Bajhang

By Shailendra Rokaya, Bajhang, Apr 28: CPN UML's Daman Bhandari has taken the lead in the Bajhang - 1(A) vote count.

Bhandari received 1,303 votes whereas Nepali Congress's Awishek Singh gained 654 votes in the initial vote count.

CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Janak Budha received 401 votes and Unified Socialist Party's Dil Bahadur Singh gained 369 votes.

Rashtriya Prajatantra Party's Kishor Khadka received 20 votes.

So far, 3000 votes have been counted out of which 46 votes were invalid.  

The by-election for the member of the Provincial Assembly in Bajhang Constituency 2 was held on Saturday.
