Suhang Nembang takes lead in Ilam-2 vote count

By Kokila Dhakal, Ilam, Apr 28: CPN (UML) candidate Suhang Nembang has taken lead by a thousand votes in the ongoing vote count of the by-election in Ilam-2 for the member of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Nembang’s closet rival, Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Bahadur Khadka has got 2,782 votes so far. Independent candidate Dekendra Singh Limbu has secured 784 and candidate of Rastriya Swatantra Party Milan Limbu has obtained 561 votes, according to the latest update of the vote count.

The by-election was held on Saturday and the counting of the votes is going on.

According to Election Commission, Nepal, 58 per cent of votes was cast out of total number of 115,889 voters in Ilam-2.
