12-year-old Prof. Suborno Isaac Bari inspires Nepali students

By A Staff Reporter,Lalitpur, Apr. 29: A talk show featuring 12-year-old Prof. Suborno Isaac Bari was held in Godavari, Lalitpur, in the presence of students, parents, educators and others on Sunday.

Organised by the Himalayan WhiteHouse IB World School, the talk show, with child prodigy Bari, was moderated by popular former banker Anil Keshari Shah.

 Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also graced the event and encouraged students for their immense potential.

Speaking at the programme, Prof. Bari expressed his happiness to be in Nepal and to meet Nepali students. 

He expressed his deep respect for the rich Nepali culture and people during the event.

 “Nepal is a rich cultural country, and I love meeting everybody here,” he said. Prof. Bari also expressed his love for Nepali cuisine and eagerly anticipated his next visit to Nepal.

Bari expressed his goal to spark curiosity and engagement in math and science.

Speaking at the programme, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that at the age of 12, what Bari achieved was a surprise to the world. 

He encouraged students not to underestimate themselves, emphasising that everyone possesses equal talent, they only need to identify their skills and nurture them. 

Stating that many compare Bari to the future Einstein, President of CPN(UML) Oli urged students not to think they are less capable than Bari.

“The young generation is very genius and talented, but they need to understand that they are talented and they can do something remarkable,” said Oli.

Acknowledging the brilliance of the younger generation, Oli urged them to believe in themselves and strive for excellence while remaining grounded. 

He thanked Bari for setting new benchmarks and breaking previous records.

Bari Science Lab also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Himalayan WhiteHouse IB World School for collaboration on Friday.

Yuvraj Sharma, President of the WhiteHouse Education Foundation Nepal, said that students from Himalayan White House School and College will now benefit from Bari’s science lab.

Around 3500 people, including students, participated in the talk show.

Additionally, the popular band ‘Elements’ entertained the audience with a performance at the event.
