Foreign Minister of Japan Kamikawa assures of assistance for Nepal's sustainable development

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 6: The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kamikawa Yoko paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Sunday.

Amid the meeting held on May 5, PM Prachanda appreciated the steady progress of the bilateral relations and the flow of people between the two countries while stating that over 170,000 Nepali living in Japan have benefited from it, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Japan in Nepal.

Foreign Minister of Japan Kamikawa said she is elated that both countries have maintained a cordial relationship since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1956.

Minister Kamikawa also stated that Japan will continue to cooperate in Nepal's efforts for sustainable development through development cooperation such as the Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project, a yen loan.
