One dead, eight injured in Taplejung tractor accident

By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, May 8: A child died while eight others sustained injury when a tractor met with an accident at Dumrishe in Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality-4, Taplejung, on Wednesday. 

According to the Taplejung District Police Office, nine-year-old Manas Tamang, son of a local Kiran Tamang, was killed in the accident. 

According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Police Inspector Kamal Kumar Lungeli, a tractor with a registration number Pradesh 1-01-001 Ta 9069 that was heading towards Makhoj of Dumrishe from Kabeli stream went out of control killing one and injuring eight others. The minor was died on the spot. 

He said that the injured are taken to the district hospital after providing them with preliminary treatment at the local health post.
