UML's Hikmat Kumar Karki appointed CM of Koshi Province

By Shashidhar Parajuli, Biratnagar, May 9: Hikmat Kumar Karki has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province.

Province Chief Parshuram Khapung appointed UML's Parliamentary Party Leader Karki as the chief minister of Koshi on Thursday.

Province Chief appointed Karki as the CM as per Article 168 (5) of the constitution. Karki became CM of Koshi Province for the third time.  

Earlier Karki submitted the claim for the Chief Minister before Province Chief Khapung with the signatures of 52 provincial assembly members.

Karki garnered the support of UML's 39 and CPN (Maoist Centre)'s 13.
