Divers of APF mobilized to search for missing children in Sunkoshi

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 25: The divers of the Armed Police Force (APF) have been mobilized to search for children who went missing in the Sunkoshi River while playing Holi on Sunday. 

Three children who had gone swimming in the Sunkoshi rover in Dhaplang, Triyuga Municipality-14, Udayapur, while playing Holi went missing on Sunday.  

Even though APF number 5 of the Triyuga battalion searched for missing children from Udayapur till late Sunday evening but could not find them, therefore, divers from APF were mobilized from Barah Bahini (1) headquarters Sunsari on Monday morning.  

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, Co-Spokesperson of the Police said that a search operation has been started by deploying nine diving teams under the command of Lieutenant Umesh Kalfe.
